Emerging Trends in Computer Science & IT

Two weeks FDP on "Emerging Trends in Computer Science & IT" was organized by Bharati Vidyapeeth's Institute of Computer Applications and Management (BVICAM), New Delhi from 14^th to 26^th May 2018, in collaboration with IEEE Computer Society (Delhi Section) & IIPC (AICTE) of BVICAM, CSI Delhi Chapter, ISTE  Delhi Section and AICTE. The objective of this FDP was to promote awareness on emerging research trends in the domain of IT and to foster the level of technical teaching and research aptitude of the young research scholars and faculty members doing research.

The two weeks FDP programme was conducted in 20 interesting and knowledge imparting sessions touching broad segments of Computer Science and Information technology. FDP covered various domains with different technical sessions on Outcome Based Education and Transforming traditional course to OBE format from Dr. P. S. Grover, University of Delhi,  Criteria Decision Making by Fuzzy TOPSIS  by Dr. Rekha Gupta – LBSIM, New Delhi, Rough Set Theory & Data Mining by Dr. Rajni Jain – ICAR-NIAP, N. Delhi,  Applications of Deep Learning by Dr. Deepak Garg, Bennette University, Gr. Noida, Exploring Machine Learning, Deep Learning for future research possibilities by Dr. H. M. Pandey from Middlesex University, London, Applications of Metaheuristics for solving complex engineering problems by Dr. Ankur Chaudhary – Amity University, Noida, Machine Learning techniques for Big Data by by Prof. R. K. Agarwal from JNU, N. Delhi, Routing Protocols for IoT by Dr. Umang Singh – ITS, Ghaziabad, hands-on SPSS by Dr. Nimit Gupta – FIIB, Reference Management Tool – Mendeley by Dr. Ritika Wason – BVICAM, New Delhi, Big Data and IoT Analytics in Cloud Computing Environmnet by Dr. Mansaf Alam, JMI, New Delhi, Machine Learning using Python by Dr. Namita Gupta, MAIT, N. Delhi, Issues and challenges in Image Mining by Dr. Vikas Saxena from JIIT, Noida,  Machine Learning using R Tool, Art of Writing Quality Research Papers, Technical Proposals and PhD Synopsis using Latex by  Dr. P. S. Rana – Thapar University, Patiala,

The program was well attended by various participants from premier Institutes like Delhi Technological University, Delhi, LBSIM, BVCOE, BVIMR, , JIMS, Delhi School of Business, JSS Academy of Technical Education, Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute, Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar,etc.

Last day of the FDP witnessed Valedictory Session where certificates were distributed to all the participants. Dr. Vishal Jain, Associate Professor, BVICAM, co-ordinated the entire FDP program and expressed his vote of thanks to all the attendees with a hope to meet again soon with a handful of new knowledge imparting topics.
