India is facing great challenges in every sector due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. However, in this melee, education sector has come up with different digital tools and technologies to cope up with such situation. BVICAM also conducted online webinar in continuation of its FDP series, to promote awareness on emerging research trends in the domain of CS & IT. The objective of the online FDP was to nurture the research aptitude and competency development of the young research scholars and faculty members doing research. FDP also covered two days workshop on Technology Transformation by Team IndiaMentor on 12th and 13th May 2020.
This FDP was conducted in 10 interesting and knowledge imparting sessions including four different sessions of workshop. Different technical sessions covered during FDP were - Best Teaching Practices for Virtual Classrooms by Mr. Rajeev Jain, Corporate Trainer, Gurugram, Machine Learning Techniques and Applications by Dr. V. Ajantha Devi, AP3 Solutions, Chennai, Recent Research Trends in Digital Forensic & AI by Dr. Nilakshi Jain, S&AKEC, Mumbai, Data Analytics using R Tool by Dr. Umang Singh, ITS, Ghaziabad, Smart Computing based Solutions by Dr. Anuradha Chugh, USIC&T, GGSIPU, N. Delhi and IoT for Product Management by Dr. Saikat Gochhait, Symbiosis International (DU), Pune.
Sessions covered during two days workshop were based on Transformation of AI from Academics to Industry by Dr. Munish Jindal, HoverRobotix, Punjab, Understanding of Cyber Citizenship in perspective of Academics by Col. Inderjeet Singh, Vara Technology, Delhi, Transformation of Technology from Academics to Industry by Dr. Nancy Juneja, RevUpSkills, Delhi and Importance of Blockchain in Academics by Col. Inderjeet Singh.
This FDP was being the most innovative event, aimed to provide an open exchange of ideas that gave all the participants an opportunity to learn about emerging trends in research and benefitted their academic career growth. The FDP observed active participation from various research scholars and faculties with positive outcomes. It attracted 96 participants from all over the world, including participants from University of Delhi, Delhi, Bharathidasan University, Amity University, UP, Gujarat Technological University, NSIT, Delhi, Bangalore University, Gujarat Technological University, Thakur College of Science and Commerce, Mumbai, Annamalai University, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University Ranchi, Assam University, Silchar to name a few and international participants from Australia, Pakistan and KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).
Last day of the FDP witnessed Valedictory Session. Prof. M. N. Hoda, Director, BVICAM, New Delhi, has highlighted the pressing need of such FDPs amidst COVID-19 Pandemic, across the globe. Prof. K. K. Aggarwal, Noted Academician, Chairman NBA, N. Delhi and Founder & Former Vice Chancellor, GGSIP University, New Delhi was the chief guest. He expressed his appreciation on the success of FDP with active participation of all the participants. He also gave his expert suggestions on Education 4.0, which encourages non-traditional thinking for imparting education and nurturing innovations & creativity. The entire FDP was coordinated by Dr. Vishal Jain, Associate Professor, Mr. Manish Kumar, Assistant Professor and Mr. Uttam Singh, Assistant Professor, BVICAM. All the participants were warded with certificates of participation. Dr. Vishal Jain expressed his vote of thanks to all the attendees for making this event a huge success of its own kind.
