NSC 2019

The evening of 15th March 2019 witnessed the inauguration of National Students’ Convention (NSC), an annual National Techno-Cultural event organized by BVICAM, which was sponsored by Micromax. NSC is a mega event which is a depiction of youth, its ebullience and its channelized synergy. NSC inauguration commenced with the first grand opening event Fadango, a western dance competition which attracted over 20 dance groups from various colleges of Delhi University, GGSIPU to name a few. Sri Aurobindo College secured first position through their marvelous performance whereas College of Vocational Studies was the first runner up. The performances pulled the audience into adrenaline frenzy with most cheering the performers. The day indeed ended high on the energy quotient.

The following day, 16th March 2019, NSC played host to a volley of cultural and technical events, including Tractate, The Website Designing competition, The Quiz, The Programming Challenge, Communication coders, PUBG, Fandom Quiz, Street Play, Fandango, Pictionary, Poster Making and few more technical and non-technical events wherein students presented their skills. NSC provides the perfect podium to young budding professionals to express themselves and promote technological escalation in the form of paper presentation in Tractate event, written by students.

In Street Play, team from Rajdhani College won first prize whereas team from Maharaja Agarsen College won second prize. In Web Development Competition, Ruman won first prize from DU. In Pictionary, Pooja and Divya Dey from BVICAM won first prize whereas Nitin Prakash Singh and Km. Shivani from ITS, Mohan Nagar won second prize. Vishal and Pranika from BVCOE won first prize in Communication Coders. In Poster Making, Ayush from Rukmini Devi Institute of Advanced Studies won first prize. Many prizes were awarded in different events of NSC.

Tractate was the event in which students presented their research papers. Mansi secured first position in Tractate by her excellent presentation.  Piyush Saxena won second position and Urvashi Thakur, Aditi Walia and Ayush Sachdev won third position, all from BVICAM.

All the competitions received tremendous response in terms of participation. Students nationwide, showed interest in participating and winning various events at the NSC 2019. The participation for the NSC 2019, came from major colleges of Delhi University, GGSIPU and various other prestigious universities. At the end of NSC, the certificates were distributed by Prof M.N. Hoda, Director, BVICAM to all the student volunteers.

BVICAM played perfect host to conduct the NSC 2019 flawlessly, and hence it proved to be an exhilarating experience for all those attending the event and a rather satisfying one for those who organized it. It will be remembered as an event, successful and larger, than as anticipated.
