National Student’s Convention -2015

14th March 2015

14th March 2015 was the day of National Students’ Convention (NSC) an annual national event organized by BVICAM which was executed in association with Computer Society of India, Student’s Branch Delhi chapter, sponsored by Micromax. CSI-NSC provides the perfect podium to young budding professionals to express themselves and promote technological escalation in the form of paper presentation written by students. CSI-NSC is a mega event which is a depiction of youth, its ebullience and its channelized synergy.

The day of NSC hosted a volley of cultural and technical events, including The Website Designing competition, The Quiz, The Programming Challenge, Brainstorming, Dance competition, LAN Gaming, Street Play, Race Against Time Challenge and Tractate, where students performed their best. The winners of different competitions received cash prizes.

Tractate, event of student’s paper presentation, had more than 40 students from various colleges to present their research papers. More than 100 papers were submitted, out of which 70 papers were accepted after review.

The evening of 14th March witnessed a thrilling and electrifying event Fadango, a western dance competition which attracted over 20 dance groups from various colleges of Delhi University, GGSIPU and other academic bodies. The performances pulled the audience into adrenaline frenzy with most cheering the performers. The day indeed ended high on the energy quotient. The first prize worth Rs. 10000 was bagged by the students of Lady Shri Ram College, second prize worth Rs. 5000 was bagged by Shri Venketeshwar College and third prize went to Mata Sundari College. Total prize money worth Rs. 1,00,000 was distributed among the winners along with 7 micromax phones.

All the competitions received tremendous response in terms of participation. Students nationwide, showed interest in participating and winning various events at the CSI-NSC 2015. The event observed 1500 students participation, from major colleges of Delhi University and various other prestigious universities. At the end of NSC, the certificates were distributed by Prof M.N. Hoda, Director, BVICAM to all the student volunteers.

BVICAM played perfect host to conduct the CSI-NSC 2015 flawlessly, and hence it proved to be an exhilarating experience for all those attending the event and a rather satisfying one for those who organized it. It will be remembered as an event, successful and larger, than as anticipated.
