Global Research Trends in Computer Science

Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Computer Applications and Management, New Delhi organized an invited talk on 17^th Dec 2014, by Dr. Gurdeep singh Hura, who is currently working as Professor in University of Maryland, Eastern Shore, USA. In his talk he explored current research areas in the field of Computer Science. While discussing a long journey of his career he explored the twenty years of Internet and importance of uniform Cyber laws across the globe. He also discussed other areas such as Cyber infrastructure, Big Data informatics, Data Mining, Network Forensic, Cloud Computing, Craze of new programming languages and requirement of appropriate APIs for heterogeneous mobile devices etc.  He also focused on the pros and cons of social networking websites such as Facebook and the loopholes in current security systems.

Prof. MN Hoda, Director, BVCIAM concluded the knowledgeable session by the words of his wisdom. He summarized the talk with SMAC technologies which are expected to dominate the digital world in the next decade: S – Social, M – mobile Computing, A – Analytics, C – Cloud Computing. Mr. Vishal Jain, Assistant Professor, BVICAM coordinated the entire session and ended it with vote of thanks. All the faculty members of BVICAM and BVCOE attended the talk.
