Two Days Faculty Development Program (FDP)

On

Leveraging Technology for Quality Education

Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Institute of Computer Applications and Management (BVICAM), New Delhi, jointly with ISTE organized two days Faculty Development Program on “Leveraging Technology for Quality Education” from 27^th Jan, 2017 to 28^th Jan, 2017. The purpose of the FDP was to strengthen and improve the quality of education and level of technical teaching-learning process.

Experts from different areas delivered their lectures on Innovative Teaching Learning Process and imparting quality education in order to fill the gap between industry and academics. First day of FDP begun with a knowledgeable session on “Network Simulation by Packet Tracer”, by Dr. Vishal Jain, Asst Prof. BVICAM. The session was taken forward by Prof. M.N. Hoda, Director, BVICAM with a very interesting lecture on “Innovative 21^st Century Teaching Learning Pedagogies”, in which he discussed on how to impart quality education to students and why do we need to redefine teaching learning process. The day ended with a session on “Quality in Education – How to Assess and Quantify” by Dr. Nimit Gupta, FIIB, N. Delhi.

On second day of FDP, Prof. P. S. Grover, Campus Director, KIIT, presented his contents on “Outcome based Education Approach and Accreditation”. He enlightened the audience with the purpose of outcome based education and how to address the industry expectations from students. The afternoon session was conducted by Mr. Rajeev Jain, Corporate Trainer, on the topic “ICTP: Innovative & Corporate way of Training & Placement”. All the sessions benefitted participants in one or some other way. Valedictory session in the evening marked the end of the two days FDP program. The esteemed guests of valedictory session were Dr. Nitin Malik, Joint Registrsr, GGSIPU, Prof. N. K. Gupta, Chairman ISTE, Delhi Section, Prof. A. K. Saini, National Council Member, IETE and Prof. R. K. Vyas, RVP CSI I Div I.

Research Scholars and Faculties of different institutions across the nation attended the FDP. The participants were awarded with the certificate of participation. Dr. Vishal Jain along with Dr. Anupam Baliyan, Associate Professor, BVICAM coordinated the entire FDP. Prof. M. N. Hoda, Director, BVICAM, New Delhi congratulated and thanked all participants who attended the entire FDP program.
