• One Week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Capacity Building to Enhance the Research Output” in collaboration with CSI Division – I and Region - I was organized from 21^st July to 25^th July, 2014 at National level. The event had 20 technical sessions. First technical talk delivered by Prof. Niladri Chatterjee, Dept. of Mathematics, IIT, Delhi on Big Data. Next Session was conducted by Mr. Amit Sharma Co-Founder & CEO, Prontol IT Labs, New Delhi on Agile Computing. On 22^nd July, 2014, Prof. R.K. Aggarwal, School of Computer and Systems Sciences, JNU, New Delhi discussed “Implementation of Neural Network in Matlab” with hands on practice. On 23^rd July, 2014, Dr. Muhammad Abulaish, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Computer Science, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi delivered a talk on “Big Data Analytics: Challenges & Emerging Trends” and “Hadoop: Developing Big-Data Applications” with hands on practice.

On 24^th July, 2014, Dr. Praveen Ranjan Srivastava, IIM Rohtak delivered a talk on “How to write Quality Research Papers, Ph.D. Synopsis and Ph.D. Thesis?”, Prof. Shankar Goenka, CEO, Goenka Education, Lacchmangarh, Rajasthan, delivered on “Whole Brain Thinking and Teaching”, Mr. Guruswamy Natrajan, Intellectual Property Professional, New Delhi discussed on “Intellectual Property Rights”, Dr. D. K. Lobiyal, School of Computer & Systems Sciences, JNU, New Delhi delivered a talk on “Citation Analysis and Impact Factor”. On 25^th July, 2014, first session delivered by Prof. Shiban Koul, Centre for Applied Research in Electronics, Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi on “Publishable Technical Writing and Citation” and then after Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Head, School of Math & Computer Application, Thapar University, Patiala discussed on NS-2 Simulation with hands on practice.

The programme was attended by more than 35 participants from premier Institutes like Univerisity of Jammu, University of Lucknow, B.P.S. Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan, Sonipat, Galgotias University, Greater Noida, Birla Institute of Technology, Noida, Maharaja Surajmal Institute, New Delhi, Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology, Jaganath Institute of Management Studies, New Delhi, R. C. Institute of Technology, Delhi, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies, New Delhi, Delhi Kannad Education Society – School of Computer Science, New Delhi, Beri Instiute of Technology, New Delhi and many others.
