Alumini Meet 2014
Waking down the memory lane, the sixth alumni Meet, BVICAM, was inaugurated by the Director, Prof. M.N.Hoda on 20th September 2014. The occasion was graced by more than 150 Alumni and their family members ranging across various batches from the very first batch of 2005 to 2014. Speaking on the occasion, the Director underlined and praised the achievements of Alumni of BVICAM in all spheres of life. He felt that it was matter of great pride for BVICAM that its Alumni are holding positions of responsibility in various organizations. Many of them are successful entrepreneurs providing jobs to others as well. He praised their contribution towards the growth of their Alma Mater and emphasized the need for further strengthening the relationship between the Alumni and BVICAM and current students.
The inaugural session was also attended by the entire staff of BVICAM along with the students of the present batches. The inaugural session was followed by fun filled cultural programme and games conducted by the first and second year students. The band performance glued the audience to their seats. The key highlight of the event was the voluntariness of some of our distinguished alumni to take over the stage and perform on the guitar one more time. This was welcomed with great spirits by the staff as well as by the students. The alumni meet ended with the prize distribution ceremony. The prizes included honoring some of our distinguished alumni, awarding students with 100% attendance in the academic year 2013-2014, awarding top 3 positions and consolation prizes for best projects presented in the academic year 2013-2014, awarding the campus ambassadors of NSC-2014 and awarding the student coordinators of “Fandango” and “NukkadNatak”- NSC-2014 for making the events the biggest success of the fest.
Great bonhomie was observed everywhere with old students reliving their old memories with their batch mates. Many of the current students were also seen interacting and learning from the experience of their pass out seniors. In all, the ambiance was electric with people seen chatting and dancing in groups.
The house witnessed active involvement of the alumnus, and a number of commendable suggestions and proposals came up. It was decided to strengthen the link between the current BVICAM students and alumni for their support to current students in the area of training, placement and any other help. The alumni meet ended with a promise to meet again and everyone bid an emotional farewell to each other and their beloved BVICAM.
