Managing diverse user bases, including employees, external partners, and customers, each requiring distinct access levels, adds complexity. Traditional username-password authentication, while widely used, faces challenges due to password susceptibility. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) addresses this by adding layers of verification through methods like biometrics or mobile app-generated codes, significantly reducing unauthorized access risks. Authorization complexities arise from the need for finegrained control over user permissions as enterprise applications support complex workflows. Striking a balance between granting adequate privileges for efficient task execution and safeguarding against unauthorized actions is an ongoing challenge. Rolebased access control (RBAC) systems address these concerns, allowing administrators to define roles and regulate user access precisely.
