IoT and WSN technologies are widely used to build decision support systems to overcome many problems in the real world. One of the most interesting fields having an increasing need for decision support systems is Smart Agriculture (SA). This project presents WSN as the best way to solve the agricultural problems related to farming resources optimization, decision-making support, and land monitoring. This approach provides real-time information about the lands and crops that will help farmers make the right decisions. Using the basic principles of Internet and WSN technology, SA systems based on the IoT technology is explained in detail, especially on the hardware architecture, network architecture and software process control.
